Do you have a mentor mentality?
Mentoring happens when a person intentionally affects the life of another. A mentor fosters insights, identifies needed knowledge, and expands the skills of the mentee. Consider the mentor as an experienced guide who models behaviors, listens to the mentee, challenges and coaches the mentee, shares knowledge, sets up experiences and networking opportunities, and empowers the mentee to reach their goals. During the mentoring process, the mentee learns things they might never have learned.
It is a mindset, a mentality, a commitment to excellence. It's a relationship!
What is mentoring?
Who is involved and how does it work?
When is the best time to begin?
How do we establish program guidelines?
What are the functions of the program?
What are the benefits for the mentor and the mentee?
How can I get this started in my organization?
During this workshop, you will learn that the mentoring mentality is reciprocal. Does it involve hard work? Yes. However, it is hard work combined with success as goals are met, guidance and training lead to added knowledge, and support from the mentor is added motivation for the mentee to cross the finish line. Not only for the mentor, but also for the mentee.
