Available Trim Sizes & Page Count
The number of words that fit on a published page can vary depending on factors such as font size, line spacing, margins, images, and the specific formatting of the text. A typical typed page formatted with standard margins, a font size of 12 points, and double-spaced lines, contains roughly 250-300 words and 500 words single spaced.
Internal Pages: BW or Color
Black and white pages utilize a classic, stark aesthetic, employing only shades of black and white without any color. Color pages leverage a spectrum of colors and utilizes color throughout the manuscript.
Composition
The composition/typesetting of a book involves bringing the manuscript of a book together with the design elements that include the layout (headers, footers, page numbers and overall design of the pages), fonts, visual elements (graphs, photos, drawings), and all matter within the book to create a cohesive and readable final product.
Copyediting
Copyediting reviews the manuscript focusing on grammar, spelling, and punctuation within the manuscript only. Additional editing for structure, suggesting changes in the plot or argument, ensuring consistency, and enhancing the overall impact and message of the material is considered Content Editing which is not included in copyediting. IIP does not offer Content editing. We give each author editorial control of their story.
Royalties
Book royalties are the payments that authors receive for the sales of their books. This amount is negotiated based on the price, specifics of the title, and the development costs. Royalty rate shall be a dollar amount that is paid for each copy (print and digital) sold. Royalty rates mentioned here are preliminary and subject to change.
