When a flock of crows arrives in the peaceful village, their jealousy and lies tear apart the beautiful friendship between two ancient oak trees. Heartbroken but determined, a little bird sets off on a courageous journey to the magical mountain of Demavand to find the legendary Phoenix. With a gift of fire and a promise of return, the Phoenix helps restore peace, truth, and friendship to the village. A timeless tale about kindness, courage, and the power of truth.

Nick Zealand

Nick Zealand is a professor of ethics, programming, security, digital forensics, data mining, machine learning, and information systems in general. He loves writing stories for his son and reading them to him. He also enjoys riding his bicycle, reading history, writing, listening to audio books, and traveling with his son. He is a licensed pilot and used to skateboard and ski in his youth. He loves writing stories with morals, ethics, and life lessons for his students and young children, especially for his son. In the past, he has written technical material and material on ethics for his students and now is exploring writing books for children. The Crows reflects his views on creating a high-trust society by teaching children that freedom alone is not enough and that courtesy and responsibility must also be practiced since practicing freedom alone can turn a society into a chaotic one. Dr. Zealand hopes his stories are well-received and positively impactful.
