This revised Clinical Supervision: A Handbook for Counselors is written for counseling practitioners and educators, driven by clinical practice, and focused on preparing effective supervisors. It is intended to serve as a practical guide to be used in master’s or doctoral courses or to complement supervision training in either the pre-service or in-service environments. The Handbook provides readers with multiple opportunities for reflection and practice through questions and activities that are included in every chapter. The authors provide guidance through the supervision process while presenting many of the important issues supervisors experience along the way. The editors and chapter authors believe that the Handbook would apply to all the counseling specialized practice areas including clinical mental health, clinical rehabilitation, rehabilitation, school, and addictions counselors as well as marriage, couple, and family therapists and clinical social workers.
